These
two khipu show an example of a close match.
Both AS116 and AS150 are from Ica. They are shown in their entirety below.
The twelve knotted strings of AS116 have a pattern of values that is similar
to that on pendants 5 -16 of AS150. The values themselves do not match
exactly, but are close. Similar color patterning reinforces the supposition
that these sequences are related. The values on AS116 are in every case
less than the corresponding values on AS150; it is possible that this
indicates some change over time, such as census counts that decreased
or increased.
